Default 2/1 manifold, intrested??? read...

I needed a 2/1 manifold recently and couldn't find one that I thought was worth it compared to the cost. I have also noticed a few people taking some intrest in going to one single carb, here on the forums.
So I have a couple questions:
1; Cost wise, how much is too much? What would be fair?
2; What is your prefrance of material, aluminum, stainless, or powder coated steel?
3; Would anybody run smaller than a 42mm carb or bigger than a 46mm?
4; How important is ease of install?

Are you thinking about making a generic adapter for a single carb for a bolt-on K&N?

1. Manifold only? Not more than $200.00
2. Aluminum..
3. Bigger than 46mm.
4. The easier the better. But fabrication is almost always required nowadays.

Hey Michael,

I just noticed all those toys in your signature... I think that you have too many... I'd be willing to take that Fairlane off your hands if you get bored with it... j/k

Alsaska, yeah I have kicked around the idea of having someone make a manifold to just use a single carb. I need to have one made for me and if enough people were intrested I might have a few more made.

Thanks RAPTORAZ.

My name is Ron. As for the Fairlane, It's my wife's baby, and she definately doesn't want to part with it. I've tried bribing her many times with newer stuff, and she won't budge. Sorry.

Have you had a chance to look at the cast aluminum manifold that Edelbrock sells with their quicksilver kits? It is pretty sweet, although you are running a 44mm carb (or maybe that is someone else???) and that intake is of only 41mm diameter.

I have seen that. The only problem is you can't buy one without buying the carb.
