Blaster Wheels???
#1
I recently Put new rear tires on my stock 03 blaster. 22-11-8's and now the inside of the tires are very close to the mounting brackets for the mud-guards by the heel plate. and when i powerslide or turn at high speeds, the tires rub. are there any after market wheels that widen the trac a bit more than stock? i want to get new wheels anyway, and im trying to find out which ones widen the best? since wheel spacers are too wide for where i ride, my options are limited and i dont have 350$ for a wider axle. any help is appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken the stock Blaster rears are centered, 4+4 (you can measure to make sure) both Douglas and ITP 8x8 wheels are 3+5 offset, so that would push your tires out an inch on both sides.
I think ITP offers a 4+4 offset steel wheel, but you probably want to go with aluminum. But 3+5 is the most offset I've seen for a 8x8 wheel.

Thanks for the info guys, i figured that after market wheels had an offset. ive seen those swing arm extenders, i might consider that in the future, beats spending 500$ on a new one. thanks again.

well, i took the mudguards off for now, but i dont want to remove the mounts, BC i ride in mud often, and im gonna put them back on as soon as i widen the trac a bit, (some how). but i am gonna grind the mounts down a little, that will give me around a half inch on each side, and the wheels another 1 inch on each side, i got it covered now, yay.
does anyone know how strong the ITP steel wheels are(compared to stock ones, which suck)? its iether those, or douglas .160's. the T9's, and .190's might be too much for me.
