Just back from the Janesville, WI, dirt drags. I'm pleased to say that the Preds and Sports/Scramblers did some impressive runnin'. Was a great time watchin' the HPD prototype pipe runnin' against the cammed/modded Yamaha 450's. Some really great, heads-up runs. Although the 1200 cc Arctic Cat stretched screamer was also a real show stopper. Great people, and a blast of an event!

Gonna have to rely on Pudljumper for the memory of the times. The pics should be up by Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll post the site addy then. It's definitely safe to say, the addiction from many years back has returned. Now off to the drawing board for that wheelie bar.

Yeah, the racing fever. Took my Banshee with wheelie bars to the local 1000ft drags a couple of weeks ago. Went 81mph in the 1/8th and 88 in the 1000ft. What a blast we had!!

There were no times..it was just a double elimination. The scramblers were sweet and super fast with all their HPD mods...race mods and powermaxx kits. The HPD pred was equipped with a longer swingarm, HPD pipe, 12.5:1 piston, high lift springs, and vortex rev box. It made short work out of a lot of yfz's!! A lot of the yfz riders had a tendancy to get to excited and red light. But when a yfz took a stock pred without engine mods, the yfz could have a crappy start, and come on huge and still win in 300ft. What I wasn't impressed with is that all the yfz's there but 3...(8 were present I belive), their elec. starting system wouldn't work once the quad got a little warm...wouldn't even give a click of a dead battery...sounds like an elec. problem...and 5 of them had it all at once. They were all having to bump start their quads or roll it down a hill and then line up in front of the tree. But yes, very fast quads. I think 1 yfz won agains that hpd pred...but he was piped, pistoned, and big ol cams already...that quad was quick! But overall, the preds really held their own out there!
