i'm looking into making a custom exhaust for my 400EX. i want to be able to make it so that flames come out of the pipe like some cars in the 60's. someone told me that they use a coil style spark arrestor and run a fuel line to the end of the pipe so that when u rev it flames come out. i've also heard of somebody putting a switch in their car so that they can control when the flames come out. does ne body know how to do this? i realize that it's probly illegal but that's a chance i'm willing to take. what type of equipment would i need to make this? is their a company that i can contact that would make it for me? ne info is greatly appreciated. thanx.

 

There's no fuel line involved. It burns un-burned fuel coming out the pipes after you let off the gas.... There's kits for cars in street rod type magazines.

i make all my own exhausts. u cant see the flames but if someone is behind u they can see them. but in the dark u can see it.

 

its basically like putting a spark plug into your pipe and to your battery and then to a switch so when you hit the swith it gives spark and you can light flames, it doesnt work just like this but its along those lines

 

hey thanx. i wouldn't be able to make the exhaust myself, and i found a guy who will do it for me, but it will cost about 350 bucks. i think i gonna stay with my FMF pipe.
