Default FCR dual 39's

My winter project will be starting in another month here, and I was just searching for the Dual 39 carb set up. I cant seem to locate it. I checked Keihin's website, but they do not have any info on where to buy from directly. Also, has anyone gone with the dual 41's? Is this too much carburation? Im currently running a stage II with some porting work done, but that is soon to be history. This baby is getting a complete overhaul this winter with a 720 bore, dual carbs, oversized valves, a complete port job, higher comp. piston, TBR a-arms, home made +4 swingarm, and last but not least. I will be rebuilding it from the ground up with a custom paint job, and crome everything. I mean everything!! The color scheme will be candyapple red frame with black plastic and a custom pin stripping from a good friend of mine. The project start Nov 1st and Im hoping to get it completed by May 1st 04. Ive been in contact with Pami in Germany about the big bore kit with lightened crank and conn. rod. etc.. etc.. Im really interested in the 760cc kit, but they havent convinced me of the reliability yet. This bike will be a show piece for our company when complete, and we are excited to get it underway. Anyway, if you can hook me up with the dual carb info, I appreciate it.

Thanks,

DStroyer

kmduner runs the 41's on his stage three. i thought the 760 is the good engine,it's the 105 bore that most screwed up at first. i'm happy with mine, but several had bad things at first. pami has a different cylinder, and i didn't know you could just do a cylinder with them. tvi puts a new sleeve with a o-ring it works good, plus i've heard from the punisher there is a new head gasket for the 105 bore wheather it is a 720 or a 760. well good luck on the 720 you will be happy with it just stay away from jeff and azsand and you won't find many faster.

Pushinthelimit,

The candyapple red was my wifes Idea. Once she pointed the color out to me, I was drooling!!! I believe the only reason my wife has agreed to let me tackle this project this winter is this. She just bought the V-force, and Ive been dropping hints of building that motor up. If my memory serves me right, her answer was a very definite "NO" . I think she feels if Im working on my own quad, I will leave hers alone. LOL Tricky, but true.
Sandman,
Thanks for the info, I will have to look a little further into the bigger bore issue. Ive called TVI and left a message a couple of times now, but I never get a response from them. Not sure what to think of that. Im sure they are busy this time of year. I do know this, samecoe will not be touching my motor. Ive read tooooo many posts in here about bad service and product to take a chance. I want to do this right the first time.

Thanks again,

DStroyer

Wow interesting. Sounds like fun. I cant wait for winter, to go riding that is. Winter is when the temp in the dunes finally starts to drop so that they are habitable. Im sick of trails. I want SAND.

You could get a 105.5 jug and piston but, you may have a problem with the location of the wrist pin (if it is designed for the stroke.) If that is the case you may as well go with the 760.

The Pami jug is much bigger than the sleeved jug (should have taken a picture of the two the other day when I was at the builders. The water jackets on the Pami jug are much larger (better cooling???)

To answer your question:
Carb Parts Warehouse
Sudco
Sudco Selection Chart

Looks like 016-653 (Selection for the F650)??? Is this what everyone is using? I think most are getting the carb to head adapter boots from the local BMW dealer (anyone have the part number?)
Anyone know the spacing between the carbs for this set-up?
Has anyone modified to make it easier to use a thumb throttle? Any different part numbers needed?

I'm sure that Ron Woods keep them on hand. I get them all the time.
