Pipe and Silencer


My next 2 purchases for the Scrammy is a pipe and clutch kit......I'm still not sold on the "matched" parts deal, I'm probably not a good enough rider to really notice anyway....

I hear so much stuff that is usually contradictory that I'm kinda at a loss about things.

After this weekend, I know I need a pipe and clutch....but which ones? This is a topic that has been beat to death I know.....

I wish I could hear each pipe (kinda like Flowmaster does on their website) and see numbers on them and clutches.......if only [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Well I'm lookin into the same thing, Exhaust & clutch kit..
Jus not sure on who to go w/..
But I do know I want my Exhaust to be Quiet!! Im Not into this loud, Waking the dead up kind of exhaust.. I have neighbors... lol

 

That sounds like a LOT for an exhaust. I have seen that Pro Circuit before but haven't come across anyone with one yet. Were you able to find out if HPD still has their old mufflers with the straight endcap? Or maybe they can modify it for you? Just a thought

 

I'm still in the planning stages so I haven't checked about the older pipe design yet....I spent a wad of cash on the tires and wheels and I'm having a hard time talking myself into spending any more money on my pig for a bit.....

$400 is pretty steep but only about $80 more than HSP and about $100 more than HPD.....I don't know what I'm gonna do but I do know I want to do something.....after this weekend's ride mine sounds like a little mouse.....I'm not into terribly loud stuff but I'd like for mine to sound better and get better performance....

There's the popular White Bros E-Series that sounds pretty good, kinda poppy sounding though.

And I've never seen anyone with a ProCircuit on their Scrammy.....or any Polaris for that matter....maybe some of the Predator guys have seen/heard them?

 

Rick Ritter also has a pipe for the 500 scrammy. I don't know anything about it though, except that it is only $200

 

a buddy of mine has that pipe on his 400ex,the thing is so damn loud..im betting you can hear the echo from the pipe a mile away..if you want something extreamly loud then thats the pipe for you..

Did it give him good performance gain?

 

Ha Ha Ha Rook I got a kick out of this thread. Folks you should ask him the real reason why in a hurry now to get one hehehe but hey rook if i remember right that white bros was half that pro circuit pipe. I do know people that have that on their regular bike and it rocks and like that one guy said they are loud as hell but hey remember you like JP's truck and its loud[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Well that is a header pipe and silencer....I'd really like to hear one because I don't get into the obnoxiously loud pipes....

It was about 3 inches shorter and spins two less wheels that is where it was...Cant wait to see the pics and video from that hole.
