mounting a winch on a y2k trailboss
#1
Any one have any creative ideas on mounting a superwinch 1500 on a 2000 Trailboss. I can't find a mounting kit, and don't really want to pay any more for one. There must be some easy and cheap way to do it ????
Thanks

The mounting kit I have for my Magnum is not all that complicated. It is just a L shaped piece of steel with the top pieces hooked to fit into the front frame rails. I have not looked at my trail boss to see how this would work, but I imagine that a mount kit could be made up by welding an L shaped piece of metal between the front bumper and the plastic. The winch and the front roller fairlead will just bolt to the L shaped piece of metal. Send me an email and I will try to take a picture of the mount on my Magnum. It may be a few weeks so be patient. Probably the easiest way to do this is to buy the winch and take it and the bike to a welding shop with a drawing of what you want and have them fabricate it for you.
