Default Need help with a 1983 Honda atc 200E Big Red.

Can anyone tell me how to get the rear brake drum off. It's on there really good. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Default Need help with a 1983 Honda atc 200E Big Red.

lots of lube and a big hammer! its splined to the axle, so if the splines are rusted it can be a bitch. you might need to heat it also.

you can also try pressing it off with the axle. remove the axle nuts and then hammer the axle from the right side (brake side) towards the left side (chain side). that will push the axle through the carrier and hopefully off the splines of the drum.
