Default DS headlight used in any other vehicle?

Does anyone know if the headlight unit on a pre 04 DS650’s is used in any other vehicle i.e. some other make of street legal motorbike or scooter. Since it has a directional beam pattern I cant believe it was designed soley for the DS which is primarily an off road vehicle.
My reason for asking is a bit convoluted but basically my DS is street legal here in the UK and since we drive on the other side of the road to you guys the beam pattern goes the wrong way. Bombardier only supply the light with this pattern. I was hoping I could get my hands on one with the correct directional beam from some other source.

Ya know....
I'm needing pictures of a street legal DS!!! Do you have any?? Do you have directional blinkers...???

I was about to try and slip one by our local DMV, but they just recently cracked down on making "street legal" bikes like Honda XR's, KTM EXCs, WR450s....etc. I guess it's outa control around here in California. I know I used to own a street legal CR500.... what a kick in the pants. But that's all another topic. sorry.... You could probably shim one side of the housing (the right) and get the light to point more to the left.

Another source would be great because those things are plastic, they break easily and cost $100 to replace.

Is there any reason why a Sled would have a directional headlight beam, we don’t have any over here so I have no experience of them.

Just the fact that the pattern moulded into the glass dips the beam to the wrong side would make it technically illegal even if I shimmed it……..I think?

Does anybody know if the new 04 style headlight has a directional lens? The UK law does allow a “flat” beam pattern so I probably could get away with one of them if I could get my hands on one.

Johnny, there are some pictures on my photo page taken by the company that supplied it……no doubt you have already found them from your other thread about street legal quads. I could probably find the address of a German web page with loads of galleries of street legal quads if you are interested. I don’t have the address on me right now but I think I know where it is.
