Default New 'old guy'

Glad I joined. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site. I have a Twister Hammerhead 150cc that I bought new in 2005. It's stock. I use it to run to the mail box (about 1 mile from home) and run up to the little store/gas station (about 3 miles away). We live in a private community with about 200 homes and we are allowed to drive our off road vehicles on the 'streets'. I also have a little trailer that I pull behind it and my yard maintenance on my 2 acres. I live in the foothills so our properties are 'hilly'. I'm looking to get a little more torque to handle those hills. There is a lot of great solution...

Well, you have a world full of choices that will outperform the hammerhead. Welcome!

Welcome. As others have said there are many machines that would offer more power than the 150cc Hammerhead will. Honestly for only being 150cc, it sounds like it has done a pretty good job for the last 10 years. Sounds like you have more than gotten your money's worth out of it. 4x4 on the new machine will be another added benefit as they didn't offer it on the Hammerhead buggys. Even something like one of the smaller Kawasaki Mule models will offer more power and torque, more towing and hauling capacity, and 4x4 for a reasonable price.

Thanks to all for the warm welcomes...greg74, you're right, there are better choices, but I just want to improve this little machine. The 'rzr' came out a couple of years after I bought the HH. That's the machine, or any of the side by sides, would be the one I would change to. As for now just want to drop a little on the HH and play with it a little more...Thanks....

Any older Rzr 800 would be plenty fast enough. I have thought about trading my Grizzly in for one myself. The town I live in allows side by sides on city streets but not atvs. As long as it is classified as a utv and has a steering wheel, its legal. Its just the $3000 or so difference minnimum that I don't want to pay that will probably keep me from buying one.
