it makes a ticking sound??? :s

Default it makes a ticking sound??? :s

well i checked my valves and the intake were too tight so i fix that put it back together and now it ticks, wtf?

It should now that the lobes are not always touching the shims.

so it should be ticking now? only the intake were out, so if that were true shouldn't the exhaust have done that b4? i'm confused [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I don't know what to tell you except that it shouldn't be "ticking" with the correct tolerances. You don't have too much tolerance now do you? You didn't adjust them after the motor was run recently did you? You should leave it sit over night before checking tolerance or you could get an incorrect reading...... I don't know if you knew this or not but it's just my $.02...

yes i do know that, i'm goin to check again wen i get home to make 100% sure, i know it'll definetly b cold then

Allso check the cam chain and cam chain tensioner. My stock one was froze closed and the chain had jump one gear.

Yes, check cam chain. I would recomend getting the manual tensioner!! its worth it.. My original failed. Also, I would recheck your valves. Mine always seem do move a bit after I reshim them. I run it then check it again after it ran but NOT HOT, i wait a day to recheck it.

well i checked them again, the intakes are both at .11 and the exhaust are at .12
my cam chain tensioner was a b!tch to hold in while i threaded in the bolt

I thought the tolerances were supposed to be between .06 and .07?? If so, yours are too lose.... Am I wrong? If I am just tell me to shut up...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
