I would not go with a full exhaust without any other engine mods. You will actually lose power. Re-jet install a slip on and get a new air filter (a foam filter is the best way to go in dusty situations). Pro Circuit makes a great pipe.

if you wanna know the best pipe for the z/kfx/dvx, raptor, and 400ex check out dirtwheelsmag.com and they tested out all of the different pipes for the above, with pro's and cons of each although I heard from many people that the white bros e-series pipe cracks easily after a while (the winner of the ex shootout for them, not sure about others I didn't read them). Can anyone back this up?

well they did the z test for exhaust, and the CT pipe came in first tied with the pro circuit, and in a close second were both the white bros systems. My friend has the e series on his ex, and likes it, bit louder than i want, and my other friend has the r4, and it is still looking brand new, nice sound and powerband, and lightweight, so im thinking of going for the r4. Sends jetting specs with it, and sounds like a good exhaust system.
