Default Bought new 2004 Raptor...

Hey everyone. I just bought a new 2004 Yamaha Raptor 660R. Right now it just has nerf bars on it. I am buying a race exhaust pipe from a friend, I am not sure what model it is, though. I am ordering a K & N jet kit when I get the pipe, and also ordering a K & N filter and outerwear. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on anything else that is an important buy for the Rappy? Thanks if you answer. Also, right now, I am under the impression that the Predator will take the Raptor off the line, but the Rap pulls ahead on the top-end speed. Is this true?

Thanks Hacker. And about who is riding it, figure two people with the same skills are racing a Raptor and a Predator.

Since your getting the K&N is it safe to assume that your also getting the pro-flow adapter plate? If not, I think you should look into it....

Where can I get one of those lowering kits? I damn near flipped my raptor over in my driveway tonight. I was like OOOOOHHH S**T!!! I haven't even got to ride the thing in dirt yet. LoL Yeah, my first priority is now to get extended A-arms and axle. Lowering kit sounds good too. How much did it cost? Was it hard to install? Were the directions good?

Jumping, MX etc are a no no with a lowering kit. Pretty much just a drag race helper for the most part.

Get the pro design K&N filter with flange, don't waste your money on the stock style K&N.

Stock on stock the Predator can beat a Raptor in a drag race 300' there's a lot of variables in a drag race though so....
