I read this in a mag and I know mags are full of sh*t but in thier drag race the predator beat the yfz by about 3-4 bike lengths, dont you yfz owners say that its faster than a raptor? hmmm????

I just dragged a predator up sand mtn Ut. this past weekend....it was my first race vs a predator.....and I beat him pretty good....I think he was stock...and I'm pretty much stock.

 

with the pred, the stock gearing is just too high. a pred needs to add 2 teeth in the rear

 

I race both a predator and a raptor a few weeks ago up comp hill in Dumont and beat them both (twice). I am currently stock and I'm not sure if they were stock or not, but it really doesn't matter. As far a the mag you mentioned about the predator beating out the YFZ (not sure where you read that) but DirtWheels mag says otherwise.....anyways just my 2 cents....

 

I've learned to trust only what I see first hand....screw these stupid mags who say yfz VS piped predator VS Banshee w/ nos....Whatever.

that doesnt sound right. if the yfz beat the raptor, then how did it lose to the pred after the raptor beat the pred?

 

It was in atv action magazine. They said something to the efect that the predator has 8 more horses and in a hundred yards it beats the yzf hy 3-4 lengths.

 

atv action huh? :::note to self, never buy atv action again::::

 

IMO: I'd rather be looking @ my busted up YFZ than riding a Pred.
