Is it possible to do with bolt-ons or do i need to get into the motor. My friends banshee has pipe and exhaust mods. My bike it totally stock. I was thinking a 14 tooth sprocket up front and the WB rev limit box might do it. Any advice? Thanks for any help or direction.

where are U gooing to get the power to pull the 14 tooth frotn sprocket not from the new rev box because the stock cam won't let the motor rev much higher any way I think your best bet to beat your pal is new high compression piston, cam,K&N filter, jet kit, exhaust.then U can add the rev box. then your pal should be eating your dust

i thought the front sprocket was like changing gears on a car, just moving the rpm range down to where its useable? I would think the ex would be more responsive and hit the tach quicker? So your sayin my motor wont pull if i change the front sprocket?

It'll come off the line quicker with a 14 tooth sprocket, but a 4-stroke's power band falls in the low and mid range. Whereas the Banshee's 2-stroke is in the high rev range. Putting a 14 tooth sprocket on will get you off the line quicker, but will slow your top speed down, when compared to stock. You'll need major mods to beat a Banshee in a straight line race. The 400EX is far better at trail riding than a Banshee. Go to the woods if you want to beat your Banshee friend.

bolt on's will not cut it, you need motor work done. you have to pay the price to haul!

I have alot of mods done and race some friends modded Banshees. I pull awaw from the line and through the first 3 gears. Then they start catching me in 4th and pass me in 5th and 6th. The only way you will beat one is to buy one or get them on tight twisting trails. Sorry but it is true.
