i would love to see somebody take a suzuki transmission and 4 wheel drive system from a king quad and put it on a honda machine. granted we live in a world of opinions but i think honda makes the nicest looking and most comfortable machines on the market and nobody can question their reliability. combine those two together with a 400 or 500 cc engine and that would be my ideal machine.

Archer have you ever rode a Sportsman 500 if you have and you still think the Honda is more comfortable, just hard to beat that big seat and that IRS.

actually i have, my brother in law has one. this is what kills me about the sportsman, they take a really good engine, transmission, and 4 wheel drive setup and then they put a bunch of chincy plastic stuff on them. The pod they have on the handle bar drives me nuts. I am not a very big man and i don't care for the seat setup on the sprotsman. i feel like i am riding a horse and it is getting ready to punt me through the uprights. i will concede that all of my reasons for disliking the sportsman are preferences, the bottom line is that they are a good machine, just not for me.

Oh well Archer I guess to each his own I am 6'2" about 230 lbs and I find it to be very comfortable but as you said everybody has a different opinion. I just don't find the short and narrow seats on the Honda and other bikes very comfortable and really don't find the suspension to my liking after riding over 40 miles in one day just not a big fan of solid axles.

Of course my favorite is my 00 Scrambler 500. I do wish that it had 150 more cc's and weighed 80lbs less. But i still love it as it is. CT

That is a tough question. I like my Magnum for playing in the mud and plowing snow, but on tight trail rides, its is hard to manuever. I rode my wife's trail boss for the first time last night on a trail ride (I couldn't get her damn @ss off it). I really like the easier steering and the lighter feel of the smaller bike. I would like to drive a 2 wheel drive scrambler. I think this will be my next ATV and I will keep the Magnum for plowing snow and playing in the mud. The only quad I don't like is the one stuck in the garage needing repairs

Mine would have to be the Sportsman 500 that I own it combines a great ride and I think is better looking then the Hondas and so on but that is my opinon.
My sentimental favorite would be the 88 230 Quadsport I used to own man did I abuse that thing.
