I want to ride Michigan trails any advice?
#2
Let me offer you some excellent advice. I live in Michigan. I do not have tons of riding time here in this state, but we have ridden a few places. One is in Mio, Michigan. It is roughly 350 miles from Powell, Ohio. Mio has some decent riding, and it's one of the southernmost places to ride in Michigan. We have over 3000 miles of trails in the lower peninsula, but most of them are in the top 1/3 of the lower. Any ways, what I am proposing to you, is to head down to Oliver Springs, Tn. It is around 375 miles from you. Windrock is the name of the place, and the club that runs it. That's where we ride. Since going there the first time last year, we have not ridden here again. It is 525 miles from my house, and worth every mile. I have ridden the mountains there more than anyone in the last year. In fact, I've been there 19 times since last April. Windrock has 72,000 acres, with over 250 miles of trails. Lots of beautiful scenery. Good challenging trails. The place is absolutely awesome. Once you ride there, I promise you will be hooked. Most everyone is. I will tell you that it is rocky. That really didn't ever bother me, but some don't like it. Check out windrockatv.com for other details. If you need to ask anything specific, feel free to ask me. Always glad to send someone on their merry way to Windrock.
