I'm planning on getting a new Kodiak 450 and getting the 2500 lb Warn winch with deal. I was just wondering how difficult they are to install. Is it worth the $70 the dealer charges to do it or is it a pretty simple job? The brochure says that there are already mounting tabs for the winch and it's simple but someone else told me to let the dealer do it because of all the wiring.

 

I just but a 2.5 warn winch on a 4 x 4 2002 Rancher. It took 45. min. to Mount Winch But 4 hrs to wire it up. For $70.00 I take it to the dealer. Make sure that they use all the boots on the wire connectors. Also use lots of wire tie downs. You will love the winch. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
