I believe theres a drag strip by Lee Summit. PM Donzilla he's from that area.

 

Big River Sand Drags is operated out of Bonne Terre, MO and is '300 sand. Gateway International is just on the other side of the river in Madison, IL 1/8th-1/4mi asphalt. Big River is hosting a Mega Buck Drag race sometime in November (date yet to be released)...$25,000 purse. This weekend (11th and 12th) Big River is hosting the 3rd annual Nationals...normally $5,000 purse. Thunder Valley is near Kansas City and is '300 dirty sand.

Their is also KCIR raceway in Kansas city (Asphault 1/8 mile)

Their is another race track in Osborn (North of Kansas city) it is 1/8 asphault.

I remember someone telling me that you could, but I personally not seen any race there.
