Trade R for 'Dale blaze?
#2
How much do you have into your R. What year is it a 2002 or 2003 . 2003 have more technical issues than the 2002. Have you visited the cannondale web sites to see what you might be getting into. Do you have the patience to do what it takes to bring out the best in a dale? If yes than go for it.

Just for the record, you can buy any part you could possibly want for the 'Dale. Anything. That shouldn't be an aspect of your decision.
What is your R worth in $$$ ? The Blaze, if in great shape with all of the updates, is probably worth about $6000-6500. Don't know what your R is worth but if it is more than that I wouldn't trade.
Do whatever ya want. Want to move to the 4 stroke world?

Well its no longer going to be a 265, im guessing its gonna be in the 280 zone? national porting, milled head, V-force reeds, hinson clutch basket, FMF pipe/silencer, K&N w/outerwear, 65% airbox, silver maier plastics with '03 FX graphics and seat cover (shaved seat), T7 bars (cheap but good!), red powder coated frame (near mint) hubs and tie rods, powder hammertone black a-arms/swing arm/steering stem/pegs, AC nerfs, AC bumper (bent back style), PRM grab bar, .190 Douglas wheels reinforced in and out, custom mirror-like scoops, custom rear brake master cylinder cover, custom case saver, 400ex splindles (thinking of putting originals back on), fog lights (very nice!)...........Ive been offered 5K for it but I know I can get more for it here if I advertise it in the paper. I took it to a shop about 2 days ago to get the bore done (actually get the damn piston out of the cylinder first!) then bore but while we were there a couple of guys walked in and saw it and asked me if I would be willing to trade it for the blaze they had on their truck i think it was a 2002 im not sure. He said he could hang with 310R's on a track and kill a modded raptors and ds's in a drag. Im still thinking if I should but when I think about owning a 4-stroke(no offence to owners) i get a bad feeling and I know i cant rebuild a 4 stroke I just dont have the patience and/or money for it especially a Cannondale. Keep the comments coming Im about 55/45 R-cannon. Thanx~

Big decision I guess. If the 'Dale is nice it is worth 6k-6.5k ... sounds like your R is worth about the same so then it is a matter of preference. The 2002 Dales are generally better than the 2003's so that is a good thing for it. Do you have any questions about the 'Dale or is it just a matter of decision?
