Default Trade R for 'Dale blaze?

Well a couple of things that have been going through my mind are FI? is this reliable on a quad? I LOVE the idea of never having to jet but if it breaks or something how hard/expensive would it be to fix it? and I read somewhere that the oil goes through the frame, now does it go through a line inside of the frame or just through the frame itself? is it safe to have this with the possibility of hitting a rock and maybe puncturing the aluminum? whats the stock HP on a blaze? I dont know if this one was modded or not but if what he told me was true about beating the bikes then im guessing it is? Have you dragged anything on your Blaze? any problems?

i played around with my friends cannondale moto the other day and that thing is awesome. Its really just a whole new type of machine. I would definately make the trade if i were you. My opinion is sort of biased though. Also you wouldnt believe the type of attention that cannondale quads pull.

CrAcKhEaD, i wouldnt trade if i were you, your R is too sweet to trade. Besides you can find cannondales on ebay and cycletrader for way under $4000.00. Just keep the R and buy a Cannondale later for around $2500. ive seen them that cheap and cheaper. Dont trader the R!

Dude, a Blaze and a Cannibal aren't even close! You can buy a Cannibal for about $3200-$3500 used. You can't buy a Blaze for anything under $5500-6000 easy. The Blaze has Ohlins w/rezzies front and rear, nerfs, beadlocks, holeshots front and rear, hand guards, tether, an FMF Ti4 full exhaust, and a different EFI map. Original retail difference between the two was $3500.

Crackhead - I have NEVER heard of any problems with the oil going through the frame. It has a normal filter plus a screen to catch anything circulating.

EFI is awesome. No rejetting, ever. You can change your map for what you plan on doing. Custom maps are now being produced said to pull another 5-6HP out of the stock motors. Impressive! The Moto is already said to have 40HP and I would say the Blaze is almost the same. You could map the Blaze and have the Moto powerband with a $300 kit that lets you change your own maps on your laptop or Ipaq handheld. They just have different powerbands for their different original uses. The Blaze is supposed to be the torque one for the woods (GNCC) while like the Speed is the fastest on the top end, and I'm guessing the Moto has the best middle.

I have never been into mine but they are supposed to be very easy to work on. I wouldn't say 2 stroke easy but relatively easy. Best place to ask that is over in the Cannondale forum. Or better yet you can join all of us addicts at www.cannondaler.com and www.cannondaleriders.com and read about anything you could want to know. The Cannonale owners are the most friendly, helpful, informative, intelligent group of ATV guys I have ever been around. Like I said before, it is an addiction and a brotherhood. I don't know of another group like it in the ATV world.

As far as reliability - make sure that it has the updates or that you are willing to do them. Some are crucial to the life of the quad. Stage 8, oil breather, motor mount updates are all very important. They really aren't all that much money and as far as I know the Stage 8 is the only you have to have the motor apart for. If the quad already has all of them you are set though, and it's easier to buy them done than have to do them or pay someone to. After you have the updates done I guess they are as reliable as any comperable sport quad. These are high performance 11.8:1 stock race built bikes so they will require more regular maintenence than what you are used to but I don't know of anyone that would say it isn't worth it.

I haven't gotten to ride my Blaze yet, I got it the day after I came back here to school. As far as dragging, a stock Cdale should be able to handle anything stock for stock except the YFZ.

Listen to Steve ... the dude owns a YFZ and he is still able to say the Cdale is amazing. What does that tell you?

Dude, did i ever say anything about a cannibal? no. And yes ive found blazes for around $4000 and less. I was saying that if he were to get a cannondale, i would hold off on the blaze, and just get a cannibal or a blaze for $4000 and under, and of course i know they are different machines, im not dumb.

As someone who is addicted to the Cannondales, I can only say that I have never seen a Blaze that cheap. Maybe you have, but I sure haven't. End of dispute.

First adjustment is suggested at 25 hours. After that, every 100. Not bad at all really. That is a lot of ride time.

Funny you should ask I was just looking this up for a guy yesterday, he had 15-20 hours on his Cdale and was wondering when it was time for initial check.
