Default dead tri z rear shock

does anyone know if the rear shock from a 86 tri z can be rebuilt? If possible, where or how?

Yes, the rear shock on a Tri-Z can be rebuilt, as long as the shaft is not pitted and too beat up. Any cycle shop should be able to do it or recommend someone who can. I have had three shocks rebuilt by Shock Therapy in Durand, MI and I am happy with the outcome. Their website is shocktherapyracing.com, and you can find their address and phone and mailing info on their site. There prices are reasonable, about $100 for a rebuild, depending on what parts your shock requires.
