Default 03 Foreman 450 Tire size

I would like to put some 589's or Mud Bug's on my 03 Foreman 450, but I'm not sure what size. I have considered 27" or 26". I will occasionally tow a trailer weighing approx. 600-700lbs through mud and up mountains. I had a 98 Suzuki 500 with 27" 589's and usually had to use the low range transmission when towing, because in high range, the gear ratios seemed to be spaced too far apart. The Honda only has one range, but is geared very low, I don't want to overwork the machine - can you please give me some feedback on what size tire would be best for my use?

I would go with the 26" 589's.I think they pull better than the Mud Bugs from what I've seen, but the 589's are a lil heavier. With the 27" you may notice a lil more power lose than you want!

The bigger sizes make steering tougher. There will be a power loss. They will strain the drive train. They will reduce towing ability. With the increased tire height, the ATV will be less stable on slopes. Stick with stock sizes. I use the ITP 589MS tires. They work great. I really like the ag-style tread and the six ply rating.
