Does anyone else have a 2001 400 A/C
I just logged 350 miles on mine and went to the dealer to have it serviced..valves, fluid change ect.
They wanted $149.00 for it and highly reccomended it at that mileage.
I also am having them install a winch on it. I was thinking of trading up to a 500, but the dealer said I really wouldn't notice much of a power difference. I ride two up on mine and was wondering what other owners of the 400 think of their machines? Has anyone upgraded tires/exhaust ect?

I take my 400 and leave my polaris700 home when I go riding on nasty trails ,the things a goat.
The main dif between the 400- 500 Is low end power, If your at higher alt get a high alt jet kit, makes a big dif It did on mine. I like my 700 but the engine braking Is scary going down steep hills because it only affects the rear wheels,my ac 400 creeps down hills no problem.

I loved mine. Had 1500 on when I sold it. Never a moments trouble. Went anywhere I wanted with plenty of power. My only complaints were the brake squeaking all the time. and it had full time 4WD. I want a 2WD/4WD and an auto. As I said I have sold it and I am looking to upgrade to the AC 500,650, or Polaris 500HO/600. The only reason for looking at the Polaris is the fact that they are the only local dealer. I would have to travel over two hours to the nearest AC dealer.
