Default NEED HELP in Warrior Altitutide Adj Jetting

Hello, For any warrior owners out there i would like to know how you adjust your carbs to dif altitudes. I ride on Sea Level, but paln on taking a trip to an altitude above 11000 Ft = 3300 M. I have an K&N Power Kit and a FMF Titanium 4 w/ Hi-flo header. I basically ride with a close airbox, but for the altitude trip im riding with the airbox open for more Oxygen.

Thanks!

Back when I had my warrior, I did exactly the same thing. Riding at sea level most of the time, then the occasional trip to the mountains. Well, I never actually rejetted, but opening up the airbox helped tremendously. I also went down one size on the front sprocket which made two worlds of difference. If you really want to make it run well (I remember reading this somewhere), go down one mainjet size for each 3000ft of elevation. If riding @ 9000ft, you would go down 3 jet sizes. Keep in mind that the K&N Powerkits use jets manufactured by I believe DynoJet. Their numbers do not match up to the factory Mikuni jet numbers. I would suggest calling DynoJet and have them help out. They would more than likely sell you one or two jets.

Good Luck & Ride on.

I would recommend installing a dial-a-jet.

installation is a piece of cake and it takes all the guessing work out. the dial a jet is an extra jet that gets installed 2" before the carb in the carb boot. the end that sticks outside the boot has a dial on it. if memeory serves me correctly...there are 6 settings. you simply turn till you feel a click and Bam! you rejetted.

they are made by Thunder products and sold @ rockymountainATV. a buddy of mine use to race superbikes and had experience with them. i installed one instaed of rejetting for my open airbox and pipe.
