Default To Banshee or not To Banshee, COuple Questions?

I have all the paper worked filled out on a 2000 Banshee with a racing head and full TS (?) pipes..For $2850 out the door, its an ok shape. But I do alot of snow riding and trail riding. I was wondering if I would be better off with a 400ex. I jsut want to start it and go. I dont want to have to tune it everytime. How hard is it to set jets. What other things will I run into with owning a banshee?...I have a 1999 Warrior right now it just isn't fast enough.....

thanks

Ryan

Banshees can be very good trail riders. That said, they are not the easiest to keep in running condition. This is true for most 2 strokes, however, when the weather gets cold. Jetting isnt too hard, but it does require a lot to time to find the right setup and to access the carbs and put it back together. I havent changed jets on a shee in a long time, so i cant remember just how much you have to tear the quad down to get to them. Most mildly modded thumpers do not require rejetting as weather changes, and also make excellent trail machines. Your experience and willingness to learn will determine your choice. If the thought of changing jets or learning to change jets often doesnt bother you, the banshee would be great. They are fast and handle decently. Watch out for that lightswitch powerband though!!!

my bro has the stock warrior, its alright but my shee will eat him up. The warrior is alot better at wheelies and the weight distribution on both quads is diff. the shee's lower to da ground, more mods aval., easier mods, and cheaper. and slides easier around corners. just my 2cents
olny bad thing dab gas milage and always mixing gas(but i'll live!)
