Default head light and taillight burning out

i've got a '97 trail blazer and the battery wil not take/keep a charge. The head and tail light keep on burning out. Is it because of the battery, or how can i fix that so the lights dont burn out?

Have your battery load tested, if you battery is a dud that's why your lights are burning out. Polaris's use the battery as part of the voltage regulation.
