blown fuse

Default blown fuse

I have a 1998 arctic cat 454 4x4, everytime i turn the key on i blow my ignition fuse, can anyone help me , thanks

First place I would check out is where the wiring goes down the steering column. Have seen wires get rubbed on some of the plastic and bolts.

I agree with Tork, Start by removing the Instrument Pod and follow the wires from there.

I ahve a 2002 Cat 400i with 1600 miles on it. It did the same thing. The hot wire going to the ignition switch gets a whole rubbed in it. You have to remove the intrumentation and the gas tank. Then you tape up the wire and put it back together!
