Replacing rear spocket on 99 Scrambler500

Does anyone know if you must remove the axle to change rear sprocket on the 99 Scrambler500? or can you just remove the wheel hub and slide sprocket off?
any info would help

Just take the tire and hub off and unloosen the bolts and it should slide right off.
