Default 2000 bayou 300 4x4 question ???

Hi guys, Took quad out over the weekend and this is what happened.
Rode around a little then parked it. came back to get on and noticed
hydro fluid coming out of by left rear tire. Checked fluid for rear end
and took cap off fluid was just running out. how much fluid goes in the
rear end. This may be crazy but, can the motor oil make its way back to
the rear end or are they two different systems. when I filled the rear end,
I filled to the bottom of threads. Too much?? Thanks in advance!
Is there a vent on that transaxle ?

All diffs have a small air vent tube on the top. Usually you just fill to the top of the filler holes so the correct amount is full proof, not sure with your model.

Maybe the stuff is to light and it was filled with motor oil instead of gear oil?

Thanks TLC for the reply, I put 80/90 gear lube in rear diff. Is there any way the
engine oil could have gotten back that far? I don't have a manual to check amount
of fluid. Will call dealer. I drained some fluid out and hasn't done it again. Fluid was
brown, almost like muddy water? I'm going to drain it all out and start all over.
