Default Clutch problem

On my warrior everthing is fine till it gets warm, then when I try to shift at high rmps it wont go. If I get off the gas it will go, I tried adjusting the clutch cable when i was moving and it didnt help. The clutch cable seems to have a lot of slack in. Does this mean it is time for a new clutch or do I just need stronger springs, I am still using the stock setup.

Automotive oils with friction reducers can cause a slipping clutch prematurely.

But it is probably time for a new clutch.. You should get the manual, adjust it correctly for slack if possible and check it then, sounds like the adjustment has gotten out of whack.

I would take the cable off, which may have stretched (probably time to buy a new one of those anyway, it makes a hell of a difference on a warrior to have a new clutch cable every now and again) Check that the dimple on the clutch arm down at the motor is lined up with the line on the clutch cover just as resistance is felt (while pushing the lever forward). If its not lined up pop the c-clip and realign it. Put the cable back on and then adjust it so there is on a nickles width of slack at the lever between the lever and perch.

If it still slips its time for a clutch, get the springs as well. and a new cable..

Ok, thanks for the info. I was told to use stp oil treatment as a assembly lube when I rebuilt my motor, so that might be making my clutch to slip
