is the grizzly too much power for a kid?

im 12 years old 137 lbs. im 5,4 and i know how to drive atvs. i have driven a polaris sportsman 500 before. is the grizzly to much power for me. my dad will also drive it.

I don't know of too many people that can strongarm a 600+ pound machine around. My daughter is only 16 and is not as big as this kid and she can ride our Griz as safe as the day is long. It would not be legal because of his age, but it should be the judgement of the parents, not some screwball in the Congress.

I would be apprehensive about letting my kids on a quad they couldnt push off themselves in a wreck. The ergonomics need to be right for you

The Grizzly needs a lot of body English input to keep under control at speed. Anybody with common sense can control the Grizzly at slow speeds, but if pushed it can be a handful. This is where you need the weight and strength of an adult along with seasoned riding experience to operate a machine like this in a safe manner. I’d recommend something a little smaller / lighter and without the handling quirks of the IRS Grizzly.
