My friend owns a 2001 Yamaha raptor and has replaced the transmission 4 times. He says that he thinks he finally figured out a way to keep his newest one going without breaking. So far he has gone for 3 months without any transmission problems at all and all he did for the "Fix" was installed a transmission cooler from www.summitracing.com that is supposed to go to a 5.0 mustang and he installed it on the front of the Raptor (His has a rack in the front). I am going to get pics of his quad tomorrow so all can see, good luck all!

 

He would have only had to fix it once if he would have put 02 gears in
