I just reserved my 04 450r They are suppose to be in stores the first of Dec. I'll keep you posted. I am already getting mods ready on the line for it.

 

Sounds great..just a month away. On the mods...keep in mind that everyone and his cousin will be working like gangbusters too get their "cut" of the 450r aftermarket profits. Whats wrong with this? Cutting corners too meet a deadline and you the consumer gets a less than desirable product at a very high price. Or even worse, has too make another purchase for the same item at a later time when the proper R&D has been performed.

 

is the CRF and TRX head the same? if so, there should be plenty of time for R and D in there.

 

Plenty of time I am sure has been put into the CRF head (and the TRX head is supposed too be basically the same)....does this mean it will work with 4X more contact patch at the tire, much more weight, and even more stroke? Of course I am not saying all aftermarket companies cut corners too get their product out before everyone else....but I am saying it does happen.

 

i understand that, but there should be some time put into the head and its parts such as valves and cams. this is where i see most of the power being squeezed out of the TRX 450 and any other 4 stroke.

 

The first quads will not arrive until mid January, the west cost will get them first (as always). Each dealer gets one at first and then allocated shipments based upon 400ex sales last year. I have the first one at my dealer and he thinks it will be here in December, but I know from somebody inside, it wont even ship until at least Jan 1.

HRC pipe ( made by WB), HRC power up kit (CRF cam), and some suspension is all you will need.
