Default just got back from 1/8 mile track......

Finaly got my bike back together and running. It ended up with craycraft 12/1 piston (je) and hot cam stage 2 and mechanics own port work. Ran 3 times with stock gearing and best time was 8.427 at 77.66. Then i switched to a 14 tooth in front and ran trice best was 8.339 at 79.10. Last time befor the work my best was 9.012 so think i amdoing ok for the first night out. Still needs some tuning. Also i could not get out the whole too good. For one it is running kind of hot and i am not sure but dont believe the fan is coming on. The overflow bottle will fill up and then drip a little out off the over flow tube. I am also still playing with jetting Right now think i am at 195 , 200 main, 27.5 pilote needle on 5 clip and around 3 turns out. Think i am rich in the middle and lower. Alos starter is not sounding to healthy .

ET times sound great Rudy. Could have a blown head gasket, need a one-way, and also carb mods. Better give Bob Craycraft a call and what deals you can get on parts.

Not too shabby........ my first and only (so far) time @ the *edit*1/8*edit*with my warrior i went a best of 11.01......however, gearing is a serious issue, as i only have one set right now, and the carb needs tuning seriously. there are plenty of other knick knack probs, because i just purchased it not too long ago used. I also, due to gearing, was having probs launching....1st gear wants to wheelie and 2nd gear doesnt leave quite hard enough, so i'll have to work through that..... BTW, it went 11.01 @ 56mph, with a .500 light , i may be slow, but imma do my best to hammer that RT heh. what kind of 60 fts were you pulling?? there was also sweet banshee there, went like 7.6's at 80-something mph.

just drained oil and it looked a little milky but really hard to tell. The coolant resorvoir was full when i parked it and now the radiator is empty and the resorvoir, know it is spelled wrong sorry, is lower too. Elecric fan doesnt seem to be coming on either. unplugged the motor and hooked it strate to battery and it worked. How do u know if the 1 way is bad?

Rudy sounds like a head gasket, the oneway makes a real load noise and hardly spins the engine or will not spin it at all.

Have another question? When my mechanic if u call him that fixed my motor he had to pull it back down one more time to fix tranny again and i am not sure what head and base gaskets he used. They dont look like the ones i got before from Mr.Bob , just wondering if i should change both of them. Also just broke the plastic nut that goes into the carb for the choke or plunger.
Rudy
Does Mr. bob sell 1 ways too and how much?

If he didn't go back with the HP cometic gaskets (probably what you got from Bob) I would bet that is the problem. It sounds like a blown head gasket no matter what gasket is in it now. You can change the base gasket, but I don't think I would worry about it. But then again its only a couple more bolts, but I don't know how much differance there is between the base gaskets.

Bob has one way's too, not sure on the price. When you change it make sure you get the gear to go along with it. If you don't it will just wear out the new one way. I just changed mine out, it an EASY job...about 2 hours tops.
