is the 400ex a good trail bike. If you need 2 turn around the woods can you push it .

Sure its a great trail machine and depending on your size you can pick up the back end to turn it around.

im going 2 get an atv and is 400ex a good choice for me i will be mostly riding trails and fields and mabe a litlle jumping. im 12 years old and i weigh 135 pounds im 5,4 and i ride my friends warrior a lot.is this bike 2 powerful for me?

 

For your size and weight the 400EX would be a rocket and will out do the warrior very easily.

Are you an experienced rider. This is a pretty powerful machine for somebody your age and size. Better to be safe than sorry.

Be Careful. Don't give ATVs a bad name.

I was thinking about my son at that age and could easily handle the raptor and was on 2 stroke dirtbikes that could smoke the 400ex but I worked with my son from the very start.

I hate to tell him to get the 300EX when in short order he will be bored with the power it delivers although it is a good trail quad but he was asking about the 400ex.

 

There is no comparing comparing the speed of a dirt bike and a quad. They are totally different. There are reasons why warnings are put on ATVs for underage riders. I couldn't imagine a 12 year old getting bored with a 300ex. I know he is asking about a 400ex, but honestly it wouldn't be the smartest move. The faster you go the more strength is required. I strongly believe a 12 year old has no business riding a 400cc or larger.
