trx250 vs trx350

trx250 vs trx350
I'm wondering what is the biggest difference between the TRX250 and TRX350 (besides the displacement). Do both quads have the same transmission thus have the same top end?
Oh and what about the older TRX300? My friend has a fourtrax 300 and I have a 250 but I've never seen his up close or anything. If him and I raced, would there be any noticeable speed gaining by him? Or yet again is it the same transmission but only he accelerates faster?
