i recently bought a tool that is used to adjust the suspension on atv's from dennis kirk. this tool hooks to a 3/8 ratchet. I was able to adjust the front shocks to the firmest level (for jumping), and i am stuck on adjusting the rear shock. I removed the whole airbox and breather hose for easy access. I am trying to make my rear suspension harder (screw the gear thingy's down). I used all of my force, and still couldn't get the gear thing to move. i sprayed some wd-40 on the threads, but still no results. I also tried to loosen the top gear, so that i could move the bottom one easier, and the top gear is also impossible to turn.. i even tried getting a nut hugger (those screwdrivers with the sockets on the end of them) and a hammer, and pounding it out, but the thing still won't budge... any remedies?? how did you get yours to move? is it impossible?? thanks is advance.

 

take the whole shock off and try it

 

You don't need that tool there are two screws for the rear shock it i sin the owners manual

is there anyway to make the shocks slighty longer or shorter in length
this is on a set of 300ex shocks thanks

o well thanks its for a little project i am trying to do hehe (300ex shocks on my recon) i got anthor plan on making um fit i will try out in a few days
