My friend has a 400ex, when taking off it doesn't want to pop the clutch any, you have to let out slow, it didn't seem right to me, it seemed like it should engage easier and quicker, is this normal? any answers would be appreciated.

 

thats not normal, maybe the oil viscosity is too thick? worn out clutch plates/springs?
