You need to be more specific. I had an 89 and it felt great to me. In fact in it's day, it was considered to have better ergonomics than the TRX250R! How tall are you and what's your weight? Is the suspension stock? What didn't you like about it? It's still the lightest 250 production sport quad ever built to my knowlege!

The rear shock does have adjustability. The ones with some usage tend to have a crappy back shock that needs rebuilding. Doing a rebuild makes a huge difference if it needs it.Other than that we do need some more input.

Ok, i'm 5'9", 185 pounds. My lt250r is stock except for the pipe. The big problem is the front suspension thats too stiff. I was thinking about doing a little swap on the front suspension, putting something from another atv with a longer travel and softer. Is it possible?

there isn't really any other quad that has more travel than the 250's, unless you try putting something from a Banshee or Raptor or any newer quad because the technology on these newer quads are so much greater than older ones like the LT's and TRX's. The TRX has a greater front travel than the LT but not much. Or you could search around for aftermarket shocks and a arms.

To remedy this you do need longer a arms and shocks. The HSD stuff is the best there is, but real spendy. You can get +2" a arms, but if you do you need to get ones with the shock mount moved outward as the LT has a bad suspension travel/shock travel ratio and longer arms make this worse. Let me know if you want to pursue this and I will give you all the gory details.
