Hi all I have a 1997 kingquad. It has an Irratic idle i have tried to adjust it via cable tension and using the idle adjustment screw. Nothing seems to fix it. It will be good for a while then it will rev really high when it is just sitting there. I changed the plug put new gas cleaned the carb well and that didnt help either Please help. Any info welcome.

I had that once and it was an incredibly tiny piece of crud in the pilot jet. You can just work the carb out from the top to take it apart for cleaning.

 

clean your airfilter

then clean/inspect your carb
