Default Any difference between 03 and 04 Eigers?

The Suzuki dealer here has a new in the crate 03 Eiger and is asking $5000 for it. I think I can get it for a little less. Would this be a good deal? It seems to me that I should be able to buy it for less since it's an 03. The same dealer is asking $5200 for an 04. These are both OTD prices. Are there any differences between the 03 and 04 machines? Are the Eigers a good quality ATV? Does the Eiger compare with the Yamaha Kodiak 450? The Yamaha dealer is asking a little over $5800 for the Kodiak 450 so if I could get the 03 Eiger bought for around $4800 that would be quite a savings for me. Any opinions would be appreciated...Thanks I should add that I'm referring to the automatic 4x4 Eiger......

Those are pretty good OTD prices, the '03 vs '04 price difference depends mostly on your market and your dealer - Is there a chance that he'll get stuck with an '03 once he starts moving '04's? There is no real difference between the two years.

The Eiger is a very good quad - I'd suspect that the Kodiak 450 will be a small amount faster. An Eiger can beat out a Kodiak 400, but only by the smallest amounts.

My buddy has a 03 kodiak 450 auto. We are always comparing my eiger with his 450. We ride the same places and switch machines. Both are similar in power and ride comfort. The price of the 450 gets you a 4wd button, locking front diff, adjustable shocks, nice digital dash. The price difference of the eiger allows you to afford a trailer for your 4 wheeler. Both are very capable machines. Good luck with your choice, hopefully you can find a decent dealer to do business with. Late.
