i was riding along and my clutch handle went limp. i checked the clutch line all the way back to the engine and it was still doing its job to that extent. so i figured it came loose somewhere inside the engine compartment. of coarse i take out all the screws to the side in which the clutch line runs into the engine, but i cant take of the cover (or what i think is a cover) to get to the clutch problem. here are some pics of my situation and commentary.
here i am showing what screws i removed,1 or 2 are not shown i believe.
and i am also showing how the clutch turning thingie still goes back and forth, its just so loose and will not disengage the clutch.

here i am showing what i think is the "cover" that needs to be removed. am i not really looking at a cover? am i not "pulling" on the cover hard enough to remove it, or what?

any help you guys can give me i would be extremely grateful for. i am new to working on engines but i am quick and i would like to do this work by myself due to money issues. sorry for the image size. thank you.

If its anything like my 300 was, you will need to find the lip of the cover (near the top of the cover)
use a long flat tip screwdriver and a small hammer, and gently give it a few taps to break the gasket seal.
hope this helps

Odds are that you have a really good silicone seal existing between the two parts. After verifying that every bolt is out, take your rubber mallet and smack the case cover retty good. A good place to hit it looks to be right near the mating surface on the front edge of (I believe it is your oil filter location). The case will be pretty strong here due to there being aluminum completely encompasing the bolt hole. A couple of hard whacks here should pop it off.
Hope this helps.
