I had this problem last year. As I was riding and pulled the clutch in I heard a little snap or tick. Then I could not use my clutch. I would pull the handle in and nothing. The motor ran fine. I pulled the cover off and could not find anything that looked broken.

SO I sent the motor to my Honda dealer, since it was still under the extended warranty, and they fixed it for me. It was some clutch pin that snapped. I am not real sure where this pin was, but I will look at my repair manual and see if I can see it.

Hey dude been a long time since I have worked on one of these I work at a Honda dealer Have you took the oil filter bolts out I beleive that one of them is long may go into a part in the inner engine cover. otherwise gotta get a little tough with her good luck
