need more power for my grizzly
#1
I have an 04 grizzly with 27" itp mudlites. I am looking for more horsepower to compensate for the bigger tires. Thinking about an aftermarket pipe or slip-on with a K&N filter and a jet kit. Can anybody tell me which pipe and jet kit to use? Any other easy mods available? Dont want to get into the motor yet.

I don't know anything about jet kits, but it seems alot of people use HMF or Big Gun exhaust. Proflow filters are supposed to be good too. I'll be doing all that next summer. Gonna trick the bikes out

Im looking at the same situation, just be prepared, after you mess with the airbox and the jetting, things will never be the same, i live in michigan, almost the same climate as you, and when the temp changes so does the jetting, after jetting many motorcycles over the years, i am very hesitant to mess with the carbs other than for the pipe and drilling out the air mixture screw.
Just my opinion

Check out Silverbear’s Grizzly collection. It seems that he is very knowledgeable in this area. Here’s a

On the low end, if you want a bit more noticeable acceleration, go for the HMF with the filter and jet kit from East Kentucky Tire. $295 shipped to my door. I was hesitant about getting this and waited for over a year before deciding, but it paid off. Its loud as hell, but the acceleration gain is impressive. Will blow away a stock grizz. Pretty easy to install yourself too if you know anything at all about carbs. The pipe is no trick at all.
