I was thinking of getting some wheel spacers to make my scrammy more stable. I found some Graph lite spacers at Rocky mt for $60 for each so that wold be a total of $120 for that price i would hope they make a big difference, All the pros and cons of having then would be helpful...

I have been debateing either wheel spacers or get offset rims. I don't want to go too wide so then I would have trouble on the technical trails. But a little extra width would help. From what I have heard, they make your bump steer more noticeable. So I am going to wait until I can get the HPD steering damper as well.

 

I was also thinking of getting the HPD steering damper, Along with new rims and spacers... I forgot about the bump steer, I think it has way to much now... I just want ot get rid of that top heavy feel to it..

 

I have had 2 sets on two totally diffrent quads.. My first set was on a 89 banshee and for racing they where great but riding woods which we do mostly around here the can be quite bothersome... Some trees you fit between before now you will hit with a wheel or worse take one down the a arms.. That really hurts and can cost alot to fix.. The other quad is my 600 sportsman which I lifted and put the high-lifter alum spacers on... I can say that they really helped on making it more stable.. I have 27" outlaws on it and without the spacers it would tip or scare you thinking it would... And thats like having 2 scramblers on top of you!!! So in closing yes spacers are ok if you are looking for the stability but if you are really flying in the woods it does not take much to make a painful and costly mistake... Also I don't know if on a scrambler you would run into any part failures from the extra pressure out on the ends of the hubs-- Those always seem to be the weak link... Good luck

 

They work great. Just pulled a three year old set off for drag racing purposes. Like the others stated, just take into account the width of the trails you ride. Excellent for the dunes. Strongly recommend the steering dampner also....saves the dislocated thumbs. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
