Hi, I want to stay with the stock size I think, what is the best all around front and rear tire for my ATV, I do mostly trails/a little track time (at a friends house) some mud and snow? Are the stock tires good? I like them but I have not ried anything else. I don't want to spend a lot either, thanks a lot.
PS what is a good air pressure?

The stock tires should work fine. But if you want to change i recomend Holeshots. I have them on my 400ex and they are a very good all around tire. they hold the ground great. pressure i run about 4lbs. hope this helps.

the new yfz 450 has a Dunlop radial, that is supposed to be a good tire... if a guy could buy them for the cost of the Hole Shots, I'd try them...

You can buy the YFZ tires very cheap from guys taking that "race ready" quad and taking off almost every stock part on it. You'll find them on Ebay and at places like YFZ Central for cheap. Usually selling both wheels and tires, but probably still a great deal. Good luck
If you are going with a good all around tire the Holeshot is great, Holeshot XC is a lil better for trails but heavier. Pick your poison!

I use the holeshot XCR tire on my Z since tearing the side wall on the second ride after buying it. I like the tires but find that they wear fast. I have heard many good things about the Maxxis razors. They are cheaper and more durable. Try to get a 6 ply tire.

Razr's are a better "all around" tire than holeshots are. ive seen too many people getting stuck in mud and snow with holeshots on their quad. another good all-around tire (believe it or not) is the Titan fast-trekker. they work well in all types of terrain and cost alot less. Kenda claws are another good all-around choice. there are many better all-terrain tires than holeshots out there.
