I just put my ct full system on and jetted the carb 170/175 it has a k&n filter no lid on air box. I took it for a test ride and at the top of the gears it has a hesitation should i go to 165/170 the ct company says the 170/175 works but i live in fort scott kansas i have no idea what to do. CAN ANYONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and will it hurt the engine to run it rich. Does anyone else have this set up.

 

What do you meen by hesitation at the top of the gears? It falls flat wide open at high RPMs or when going from 1/2 to full throttle at higher RPMs?

 

I’ve always herd better to run rich then lean…

 

For instance when i go flat out in second gear and then let off and get back on it feels like its flooding

 

What possition on the needle is the clip, if it has good low end, but crappy high end power because its rich, you need to adjust the needle

 

BTW sounds like you need to raise the needle up a clip or 2, and change the jet size as needed. So the needle sits lower and leans it out a bit

 

Sounds like the clip position needs to move. Had the same problem. Clip position helped a bunch. Move it up.

 

how many nocthes do i move it up. and do i still need to rejet
