Alright guys, I would like to hear back from the people who are either on waiting lists or just considering buying the 450r this year. I'm on a list and I'm pretty sure I want to buy it. The idea of purchasing anything first year does make me feel a little uneasy and I just want to know what you guys think. What problems if any do you expect?

 

Personally I never buy anything it's first year out. And that would include a Honda.

 

Every bike I own (except the kids 90's) was not only first year, but the first bike the dealer got in. No regrets here!!

Either spend you life waiting around, or get out there and ride!!

Let's hope so! I don't normally buy extended warenties on my bikes but I think I might this year just because its new. This is or course, if the HRC kit does not void the warrenty

 

anyone else? Any Honda atv that did have big problems the first year that the factory would not take care of?

 

"Honda" and "big problems" don't belong in the same sentence! I have two 400EX, a '99 (first year) and a '00. The '99 has held up better and performs better in every category than the '00. I have no problem with being first on my dealers list for a 450R.
