I am selling my 02 Big Bear 4x4. But a guy called me a while ago and asked if I would trade for an 01 Raptor. I really like the Raptor but have heard of some problems with the 01 tranny. Is the problem with all the 01 Raptors? And should I think about this trade or stay away from it?

Not all 01 raptors have bad trannys. If you looked hard enough, you could probably find a decent 02 that's not too expensive and not have to worry about any problems...but yep like beezy said, it would be a big jump

 

get it and don't look back. raptor's are awsome machines and a hella lot more fun than a big bear. at least take a look at it and see whats up with it. make sure you tell us how it was when you look at it.

 

I would not recomend a 2001 RaPTOR I would look for an 02'. Just my opinion.
